Peter Ivan visited the school for violin making (lasting 5 years) of the conservatoire of music “Arrigo Boito” in Parma (Italy). There he learned his trade at master Renato Scrollavezza and made his diploma. Subsequently Peter Ivan worked in Australia, Austria and again Italy.

Since 1991 he has been the owner of a trade certificate and runs his own atelier for building violins in Waidhofen/Ybbs (Austria). He works on the construction of new violins, violas, celli and basses in the traditional and his personal styles. He also works on repairs and restoration of antique and modern instruments, trading, accessories.
